Chinese midfielder Wang Shuang received the Women's Player of the Year award at the AFC (Asia Football Confederation) Annual Awards 2018 in Muscat, Oman, on Nov. 28.

Wang Shuang, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain in the Division 1 Féminine, claimed the award for the first time, following an impressive year at both club and international level.
"It is a total honor for me to receive this precious award. I would like to thank the AFC. It has come as a surprise, but this award is inspiration for me to do well next year at the FIFA World Cup in France. I want to thank all my teammates - both from my club and country.

Little Pebble was born in Changchun, the capital of Northeast China's Jilin province. When he was 14 months old, he was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, a condition caused by kidney damage.
In an effort to cover his mounting medical bills, Little Pebble’s parents spent their savings of 300,000 yuan and sold their house.
The medicine that Little Pebble was prescribed affected his hormones, leading him to grow to 35kg. Some say that Little Pebble has now taken the appearance of a sitting Buddha.

Unable to attend kindergarten like other children his age due to fears of infection, Little Pebble was left lonely at home, playing with toys by himself. He seldom spoke or laughed.

But in 2017 his parents posted some video clips of him eating dinner, which caught people’s attention. Seeing the online reaction, Little Pebble felt that he had made friends and he decided to start uploading videos.
Now his videos have hit one million views each and Little Pebble can start earning money from them.
Although his condition has improved, his medicine costs approximately 7,000 yuan per month, which places a strain on his family’s finances. So Little Pebble wants to help.

HONG KONG, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and more than 30 injured in a car crash early Friday in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
A tourist coach collided with a taxi on a road in Tsing Yi, an island to the northwest of Hong Kong Island, shortly before 5:00 a.m. local time (2100 GMT Thursday).
Three people were confirmed dead at the scene. Another two died after being sent to hospital, the HKSAR government's press service department told Xinhua.
Over 10 ambulances were rushed to the scene to rescue the victims and send the injured to four nearby hospitals. A total of 34 injured were sent to hospital. At least eight of them were in serious condition.
