I'm not too sure I like this idea at all, if it's implemented, then who's gonna watch the 'watchdog' to make sure they're not fouling their report out of politics or personal reasons.

Media regulators Tuesday announced a new directive to limit entertainment programs on 34 satellite TV channels and to replace them with "healthy shows," amid debates over moral decline in the country and the need for cultural reforms.

The new rules, published by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) will take effect on January 1. They are aimed at "preventing excessive entertainment and vulgar content so as to meet the people's demand for more delicate programs."

Construction on a railway with an investment of 2.3 billion yuan ($36 million) in Northeast China’s Jilin province has been suspended recently, Xinhua reported.

The construction was allegedly subcontracted to a “fake” company run by labor workers who “know nothing about railway construction”. The bridge piers which should have been made with concrete were instead allegedly made with rubble under the supervision of engineering project supervisors, creating a great security risk.

BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Alibaba Cloud Computing, a unit of the Chinese Internet company Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, said the world's first tablet computer running on its proprietary mobile operating system (OS), the Aliyun OS, will hit the market by Dec 31.

Alibaba's 7-inch tablet, manufactured by Beijing-based mobile device maker Tianyu Communication Equipment Co, made its debut at the China Mobile Internet Summit in Hangzhou on Monday.

The big cat, roughly 2.5 meters in length and 200 kilograms in weight, was found dead by a reservoir in Fusheng village, Fuyuan county of Mishan city in the province. The cause of death remains unknown. Wildlife experts are on their way at the site

Free Wi-Fi will cover seven areas in Beijing including Xidan, Wangfujing, Zhongguancun and main railway stations.

The service could start as soon as the end of November, said Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology Wednesday.

While residents generally welcome the new service, previous efforts to provide free Wi-Fi in Beijing have been criticized for being difficult to access and having slow connection speeds.

there are many peasants with hard life, toiling and struggling, it's pretty late time for social development, they have to start changing or mainland people will pay in the future, with interests!

it does not matter how much dollar China has in it's treasury, this kid needs a better life

I can sympathize with your answer, but there are piss poor people every where and anywhere around the world, even here in America. China or America will always have folks struggle to get by regardless of it's economic conditions. I don't believe politics alone can change a better life for poor people, it takes good leadership, sustainable development planning, and fair budget distribution funding in order to counter poverty.
