May I ask what are the applications / uses of this aircraft?
in the civilian sector, I can think of:
firefighting,
island hopping, transportation, and supplies.
marine rescue.
anything else ?? please pardon my ignorance, smiles.

Hi Jono,

correct in all account, but the most important is...

As a Rapid respond for island hopping, transportation, surveilliance , ASW and supplies in support of China claim in SCS.

At least for now, AG-600 is not designed for anti-submarine warfare (ASW), as it lacks a magnetic anomaly detector (MAD) on the tail.
Its predecessor SH-5 was equipped with a MAD though.
