Some time ago I asked wether there was a guided rocket in the making in China comparable to the west's projects.
No respons was forthcoming.
And now, here it is: the BRM 1 90mm aerial guided rocket.

The larger calibre makes for larger warhead and the subsequent better kill/disabling capability and a longer stand-off range and offering more space for a larger/better(?) guidance unit at the same time. Yet the caliber is still small enough to carry several in a pod-type launcher on a helo or light attack aircraft. Great weapon for the armoured helo's!

Hope it's fire-and-forget; because I shure as hell wouldn't want to be the poor soldier on the ground operating the marker!

A couple of closer views of the Sino-SDB (Small Diameter Bomb):

Does anyone know what this is? It looks to me to be an air-to-air munition:

The top two photos are not the Sino SDB II -- they're a larger, heavier PGM with a similar configuraiton. the FT-7/Sino SDB was displayed in front of GJ-1, this PGM is in front of JH-7. Note the tails as well; FT-7 has foldable tails

The rocket is a SAL guided rocket similar to APKWS

It may just have been the painting or exterior design but many Chinese munition have this 'plastic-ness' exterior look that doesn't quite give off a solid impression.

That is probably because all of the displays are made out of plastic.

At 1:20 the M20 does a "bounce" evasive maneuver in its ballistic trajectory, I am not familiar with ballistic missiles but is this even a feasible move? It just doesn't seem plausible to me as it would require a huge amount of energy to change course like that and a missile frame that can withstand the stress involved.
