Fair enough. I assume the AKF-98 is to be carried exclusively by aircraft too? Not to be fired by the ships
Its export version is CM-98. A similar question was asked of staff at the 2024 Zhuhai Airshow. The answer was that it can be modified into land-based or sea-based versions as needed.
it's not difficult; they only need folding tail fins and add a booster rocket engines.
Admittedly tracking what is and what isn’t in service is very difficult since PLAAF is notoriously opaque on guided air to surface weapon acquisition/usage.
