Even at its current state the Y20 should be able to lift a ZTZ99A, but short takeoff capabilities and range will suffer.

Right, hope they'll just churn this bird on the production line when every kinks are sorted out.
Engines can wait for a retrofit, and i'm not complaining about the size, seems perfect for what China needs and can come up with right now

The Y-20 needs to be built on numbers to translate this R&D achievement into an operational capability.
Let the flight hours build up.

I think that picture is understating the width of the fuselage a little, going by those satellite photos

according to wmf, the overall lenght is 47 meter,payload is 55 ton, but Y-20A power more powerful CJ-2000 is lenghten to 53 meter,payload 75 ton.

To admit these guesses on a more powerfull and larger Y-20A come IMO a bit too early ... maybe only wet-dreams ! Let's simply wait and let us see that bird (!) fly.
