To admit once again a biased agression-hyping headline on something that is more or less known, nothing special and esp. not frightening. He had a similar tweet some time ago posing most of all how dangerous this forward operational deployment close to the Indian border is.
To my reply that this is this unit's regular home base of a transport unit and not a forward one he replied that all these bases are an aggression since it us so close to India .
My reply again that a similar Indian air force base equipped with Il-76 eve closer to the Chinese border could be rated as an aggression too was turned down with some harsh comments. .

I would interpret this to mean that they built a batch of gearboxes for the APUs used in the Y-20. It doesn't really say how many APUs (let alone Y-20s) have been completed.

I think the Z-20 will be a much bigger headache for India. That helicopter is tricked out to perform in high altitude conditions. If China can deploy those in large numbers on the Indian border that will give China a huge tactical advantage.

Not only that but India has 10 C17's right now Which Short term is about a 1 for 1.

But you are comparing a helicopter with a large transport ?
If you are saying Z20 is bigger headache than Y20 then that’s a big no

A transport is just a transport Y20 like all transports it's size can only take off and land on a runway all it is a tank Fiery.
As I pointed out the Indians have 10 C17 in service which is realistically a one for one at the moment.
Z20 is nowhere near as large as Y20, but as a helicopter it can go places Y20 couldn't fathom. It's high and hot should rival the Mi17 better then the Mi8 giving the PLA the reach into higher altitudes.
