And I wonder how many years more for that to happen...until China can produce engines that are in both quality and technology in-par with same generation competitors, Chinese aviation will just keep being laughed at and marginalized by everyone. China can design airframes as good as anyone else, but without good engines they've to forgo many innovations to compensate the lacking of horsepower.
By 2020 China will be self-sufficient in all engines. It will be world class too. Let them laugh, China don't care.
