WS-20 is said to be (much?) quieter than D-30, which is beneficial for the crew, especially for longer endurance missions.

AEP-400 entered in material selection stage. last year we also seen new turboprop engine on testbed. this year on Chinese new year AECC celebrate with AEP-500 poster on day1.
Y-30 will have brand new engines.
