The article speculated that the initial production will adopt D-30KP and WS-18/18A which are developed from D-30KP before WS-20 can enter service.

how mature of those WS-18? One WS20 engine already installed on the Y20. I guess WS18 should be mature if Ws20 already has already rolled out.

I wonder if WS18 can be used in other planes? Why not use WS18 on H-6K?

Neither are ready yet. The comments after the quotes are all speculations at this point. We will know WS-18 is mature when it's actually been used by H-6K or Y-20.
