The "additive manufacturing technology innovation center" of CASC in Xi'an starts operation on March 3. All of the 100+ 3D printing machines have been installed and tuned up for making liquid propellant rocket engines.

百台3D打印设备投入运行 实现航天液体动力制造技术升级换代​

西安3月3日电 (记者 张一辰)记者3日从中国航天科技集团六院(以下简称:航天科技六院)获悉,航天科技六院西安航天发动机有限公司(以下简称:西发公司)航天特种构件增材制造技术创新中心百台设备已全部到位并运行,形成增材制造产业发展生产力,全力支撑发动机关键零组件的生产研制,促进液体动力科研生产模式优化升级。

增材制造技术,又称3D打印技术,是以金属粉末、金属丝为原材料,通过逐层打印、堆积成型的方式实现构件一体化成型的制造技术。航天液体火箭发动机需要大量采用高温合金、钛合金等难加工材料,设计结构复杂、工艺流程长,其轻量化、低成本、快速研制的迫切需求与3D打印成型自由度高且快等特点高度契合。

该创新中心采用3D打印技术,快速、高性能、整体生产和制造出复杂构件,从成型原理的根本层面突破了传统制造技术局限,重点解决航天液体动力研制中的“急、难、险、重、新”的零部组件研制问题,产品合格率、制造流程和可靠性等方面显著提升,实现了航天液体动力制造技术的升级换代。

据介绍,该创新中心,通过不断夯实增材制造工程化应用基础、在国内率先打通了工程应用批量化、工业化关键环节。于2021年开始全面开展产业化系统论证规划和具体实施,目前,成功建成的国内领先、国际一流的百台增材制造设备规模的产业化、研发双中心,正全力推进增材制造向智能化、数字化、精益化方向发展。

西发公司表示,将继续加强前沿增材制造技术研究,充分发挥创新中心平台作用,加强与国内优势科研院所交流合作,在高效率增材制造、特殊结构专用装备等方向与具有技术储备的单位深入合作,提升增材制造适用能力。同时,依托增材制造产业中心技术和资源优势,吸收社会优质增材制造生产资源,建成安全可信、协同高效的增材制造云端平台,实现各类增材制造资源的广泛互联,形成强大的制造服务能力。(完)

The private launch company i-Space (also known as Interstellar Glory, Space Honor, and Starcraft Glory) has recently completed two partial system tests of its 100-ton re-usable variable-thrust LOX/Methane JD-2 engine. The company is now assembling a prototype JD-2 for a full-system test run scheduled for May.

The first flight of the superheavy Long March 9 is expected around 2030:

has successfully completed a hot run of its LY-70 LOX/Methane engine connected to a stainless steel propellant tank developed by Beijing Jianyuan Technology (箭元科技). The propellant tank is low-cost, re-usable, and has a diameter of 4.2m.

A job posting from Jianyuan Technology (箭元科技), which says the company is working on a large transport system that will have a carrying capacity of 100 tons to LEO and can be re-used 100 times. Its first flight is planned for 2028.

This means that the 2011 version is out. We have never get this confirmed before, this is something new.
