Previously, they conducted launches from the Yellow Sea, closer to the coast. For this launch, however, it is emphasized that this is the first long-range maritime launch from the East China Sea. (Could this be related to stricter safety regulations for private companies?)

Stunning video from the latest Long March 3b launch - hit by lightning shortly after launch. Very curious how this mission progresses - it's not guaranteed that the mission is lost by any stretch - other rockets have been hit by lightning before and made it through just fine. They might want to review their launch commit criteria though!
