We have heard from various speech or interview. Here comes the official endorsement of CZ-9 program from the "14th five year plan and 2035 vision" by NPC.

Heavy Lift carrier rocket ... ... etc. development.
Note on this list after the super heavy lift rocket it says "and reusable aerospace transport system".

I understand as some combination of Long March 8 Reuseable, 921 Reusable and Tenyung spaceplane.

I actually love the self-sufficiency, dual circulation idea. There is no reason a chinese citizen should go to a america which wants to kill them and pay $200,000 to get a ride into space. China should build its own cruise ships, amusement parks, ski-resorts, beach resorts, and every other fun thing that is possible in order to make sure chinese people can enjoy all that modern technology and culture can offer. We need a chinese ferrari (NIO may get there) since we will never stop conspicuous consumption (as a result of our move to state/post capitalism), but we should be able to harness it for the greater good of the country.

If the rumours are true Tengyun is going to be a real game changer the final iteration will be equipped with hypersonic electric jet engines that would heat compressed liquid atmospheric oxygen using microwaves to get the first stage to near space, on return it would skim atmosphere and store liquid oxygen for the second stage of next mission, Imagine a falcon 9 that returns to pad fully refuelled by itself for the next mission after every launch

Combustion with microwave and liquid oxygen is powerful enough for lift-off?

Maybe if your aircraft is just a thin metal shell and the microwave source is outside the aircraft.
The only person I know of that tested this kind of propulsion was Leik Myrabo with his Lightcraft.
It carries next to no payload.

Beamed propulsion in general has potential on a space launcher's first stage. But it the aircraft doesn't carry at least some fuel it can't carry much payload at all. Beamed propulsion in theory can have over twice the Isp of a regular chemical engine. The main advantage is part of the power is outside the spacecraft which in turn makes the spacecraft lighter.

A summary of 2020 activities from China’s main space contractor, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp., (CASC), states that China launched 39 times in 2020, putting 89 spacecraft into orbit. The total payload was 103.06 tons, an increase of 29.3% over 2019. Of these CASC accounted for 34 launches missions in 2020, carrying launch 82 spacecraft and 99.2% of the total launch mass (102.25t).

I should have made it more clear It's similar to a plasma engine used in spacecrafts and the prototype is claimed to have performance comparable to commercial jet engines

As usual comment section is full of bitching and moaning lol

The site is taking a lot of time to come up, not sure if it's my network issue added the pic for members who may face the same problem

I doubt the power of a commercial jet engine is enough even for a second stage rocket. How about the weight of the equipment needed to extract atmospheric oxygen?
