Yes...Tiangong-1 is about the size of Skylab with a crew of three.

TIANGONG-1 (2011-)

Tianyong-2 will be bigger, but still hold a crew of three I believe.

I thought they were planning something even larger...but perhaps that is after 2020.

Tiangong-2 is a bigger version of tiangong-1 that will be the code of subsequent modules to be added to it ISS style. Tiangong will be decomissioned after tiangong-2 is operational I think. Tiangong-1 is about 8,000kg whereas tiangong 2 would be about 20,000kg.

It will be neat to see the larger one launched and put in place...particularly if it is designed for expansion.

Then the Chinese can start sending up their own modules and expanding it as they will.

Lol, I reread my post and felt that it may cause another "misunderstanding".

Just want to add that I was just making a casual comment about it and there wasn't anything negative about your comment in the first place.

Oh. My mistake.

CZ-6 uses a new method of launch. Loading, testing and positioning were done when rocket was at a horizontal position, before it was lifted to an upright position for launching.
The rocket CZ-6 is also equipped with a new guidance system, which collects and analyzes real-time flight parameters, and adjusts its flight profile...
