CAST has successfully completed a proof-of-principle structure test of a new medium-sized agile remote sensing sat platform. The results show that the static and dynamic characteristics of the platform met the design requirements, which means that the new structure design passed the "final exam".
It is reported that the structural design of the platform is flexible and scalable so as to meet the demand for optical, SAR and other payload. Medium-sized agile remote sensing satellite platform project is intended to fill the blank of domestic agile satellite technology:
