China's space program has officially evolved into a complete and matured space eco-system.

CZ-2F is a time-tested vehicle of transporting manned Shen Zhou spacecrafts, based in Jiu Quan.
CZ-7 is a new and maturing vehicle of transporting supplies to the space station, based in Hai Nan.
CZ-5 is a new and maturing heavy lifter for space station construction and deep space exploration, based in Hai Nan.

In addition, there is mature CZ-3 series for satellites from Tai Yuan, Xi Chang or Jiu Quan.

That is today. And that places China in the second place of the 21st century space race.

In 10 years, there will be CZ-9 and 921 variants. Even only one of them materializes, it will still be a super heavy lifter in addition to time-tested CZ-2/CZ-3/CZ-7/CZ-5. And there will also be at least one reusable platform. Given the track record of CNSA in the current 3-step program, I can count on them.

That is next 10 years. And I can expect a super heavy lifter and a reusable platform, for sure.

Now I am wondering when the Wolf amendment will be tore apart and some kowtow will be bent toward CNSA. When it was enacted, I considered that a racist act by an American Jewish politician. When it is being tore apart by some other American politicians, I want to see an official apology attached to it.

US cannot afford to not cooperating with China in space. In 10 or 20 years, China will be on par with US in space.

“神十四”发射成功 “神十五”已经就位 未来“神十四”将与“神十五”在空间站会面

Shen Zhou 14 just successfully docked at the Tian Gong space station. Three astronauts already started working on the construction. Its hot standby, Shen Zhou 15, is therefore ready for a follow-up mission with another 3-crew trip. There will be a short overlapping meeting between the Shen Zhou 14 crew and the Shen Zhou 15 crew.

Looking back when the 3-step program was announced, I felt that was an ambitious plan and really got pumped up by the CNSA's goals. Now I am seeing that the CNSA is putting finishing touches on that long and ambitious plan. In the meantime, a whole new generation of Chinese space professionals have grown up and taken over the mettle. For the first in my lifetime, I can fairly say that CNSA is in a better looking than NASA in the next 10 to 20 years.

I could not have dared to dream like that when I was coming to America a long time ago. Now it is becoming a reality. My hats off to all those who have contributed to the CNSA successes.

Now only a CZ-9 can excite me as much as Shen Zhou 5 ......

You think we dared believe that we can compete with US 15 years ago? China worked patiently and steadily for years and suddenly now we are seeing the fruits of our effort. Imagine if I tell you now that by 2030 there will be a Ch*nk on the moon. Would you believe me? Hell I was already ecstatic to see CZ-5, now I only want to know about CZ-9.

China already managed to do something the US never did. Making their own multi-modular space station.
Second only to the Soviets, of course.

Still, if it wasn't for lack of interest from the establishments post-Reagan leading to numerous budget cuts to NASA, and certainly not for the lack of technical capability, Freedom could've been the sole station to this day instead of the ISS.

The high cost of operating own space station i.e. the exact reason why ISS was proposed in the first place, could've even prompted the US to cooperate with China with Chinese modules on Freedom like the Japanese and European modules as originally envisioned, effectively turning it into an alternate-timeline ISS, in which case the Wolf Amendment might not have come to pass, and Tiangong might not even have happened...

"Now I am wondering when the Wolf amendment will be tore apart and some kowtow will be bent toward CNSA"
when that happens, should China enact its own "PLA Wolf amendment" ? That would be sweet revenge indeed.
10 years later, will it even be important and worth the efforts to co-operate with the hostile USA anymore?
