Does anyone know how much the sz-9 mission costs? The Chinese space program (according to wiki) is only about a billion and from what iirc, one nasa shuttle missions costs upwards of a billion dollars.

I can already imagine the commercial sector willing to pay to advertise their products on future space missions. Astronauts will be dotted with advertisement logos on their pressure flight suits. Heck even space rockets could be painted with company logos, I don't see why not.

I didn't know China had all these neat television technology tricks. Far superior to the embarrassing CNN Anderson Cooper beaming in Will.i.am to talk to him live in studio during the last presidential election.

I saw it live on the CCTV/English channel and it was pretty neat. It helps explain what they're doing and the scale of the whole mission. One can appreciate what those astronauts must have went through and all the vigorous training for it.

This list of requirements is being reported as necessary for female Chinese astronauts / taikonauts if you will. Some of these are bizarre to say the least. Comments anyone?
