Do you have any info on the other performance parameters of the engines? Like Isp or the fuel it uses? I assume the older engine had better Isp because of the engine bell nozzle geometry.
The Chang'e variant used Hypergolic propellant. I believe the Tianwen variant is the same as it is not a new engine.

Chang'e variant has 308s in vacuum. However, Tianwen engine is only used in Marsian atmosphere although very thin, so its "atmospheric" isp may be similar". But of course if used in vacuum, the Tianwen variant will have a worse isp because of the nozzle size.

The main change to reduce size is increasing the pressure of the combustion chamber.
