A country who's experienced fighting against some of the most formidable stepped warriors ( Mongols, Jin, Jurchens/Manchus, Xiongnus) and fought successfully for it's INDEPENDENCE against Imperial Japan's genocidal attempt of colonization; fought against a superpower in a stand still in the Korean War, fought against then Soviet superpower to defend it's border/sovereignty, fought against Communist Vietnam's poppy cock attempt of regional hegemony etc...Just who the f..k did the Filipinos beat to gain their independence? What have they actually done in the annals of combat to proclaim themselves as some sort of warrior race? eating balut does not count. A country that's fighting the longest running insurgency in history ain't it. Quality? LOL

They picked up the habit of balut eating from Chinese immigrants.

Bro this incident is eerily similar to the 1979 Sino-Vietnam War, the same proxy war and we may see the same result. What's the Chinese objective in initiating the border skirmish, to show that the Russian is a paper tiger and can't be relied on to support Vietnam both militarily and economically which in turn stop the Vietnamese expansion policy. And we're seeing the same happening in the SCS, instead of tangible support all the Filipinos get is word of encourage from the US and Japan. We may see a change in public opinion in the 2025 election and a total policy change in 2028 or earlier when Marcos step down when his term is finished or either from a coup. This is the Chinese strategy it may look plain and boring but the end result is very effective, the American elite should really take their History and Geography classes seriously, China holds an escalatory dominance in this region, whatever Salami tactics they employed it's bound to fail cause that food is alien to the Chinese....lol

I'm surprised this guy gave up a technical career to do.....whatever he does now.

Oh, apparently he works for Singapore's 南大. You'd think he would behave more professionally with that kind of background.

He was not educated in the West, so he probably grew up with a Western-oriented outlook as served by the typical Singapore influence. As long as they are not informed differently, they will still be anti-China in their middle years. But this guy is a bit extreme, a shameless Chinese.

He doesn't have a graduate degree. He probably realized after graduating that he wasn't capable enough to accomplish anything of note in the field of materials science, hence the career switch. There are many people like this. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but giving up a career in materials science to become a glorified cheerleader is pathetic haha
