Those Pinoy are stupid. Aren't they aware that 20% is basically 1/5 of their total population? Just imagine if those people decide to rebel. It won't be easy for their government to resolve the situation. Specially when they get the help from China with full weapons and ammos. It will be bloody.
The average IQ of the country is 80 something. Plus I heard they are already claiming victory since they launched the buoys and resupplied some small ships near the shoal. someone here was right saying they didn't even go to the island hence no pictures. I was betting on some sort of suicide run.

Actually didnt expect the CCGs response would be so massive.

That explains things, those fishermen are smarter than Ukrainians at least.
Manila Times is a reputable news organization, owned by a Hua Qiao named Dante Ang, it had columnist Roberto Tiglao Jr who is a nationalist and many more independent reporter who are not under the payroll of the oligarchs. So where did the newspaper gets its revenue? From the Taipans and other Hua Qiao business organization, we considered that newspaper as our owned and a way to report any harassment and extortion from the government against the Chinese community.

There is a question I've always been afraid to ask, with respect to the media ownership in South East Asia, how much do the Chinese diaspora and Jewish people have in common?

In Philippines for example, how much control do people of Chinese descent have in the media landscape?

No need for a bloody revolution, just stop paying taxes and see the government reversed itself seeking reconciliation.... Lol

Taipan control news outlet, Business Mirror, Manila Bulletin, Manila Standard, Hua Qiao control, Manila Times, Chinese mestiso, Inquirer and Philippine Star. So you can see there is NO pure Filipino owned MSM and mass media, so why there are a lot of misinformation especially against the Chinese? It's all about money and profit, who are the major contributor and high paying customers for advertising? The US govt, the American Corp and other Western multinational company's, Paying customer want to advertise their products and create a narrative that they are superior against their competitors. An example are the Japanese carmakers, they paid journalists to report about problems if acquiring Chinese Cars( how can they know as they haven't drove one) they connote cheap cars with low quality, they can't compete, since there is a xenophobia why not exploit it to their advantage.

Class goals and tools transcend races and cultures, it just makes sense to own some sort of information channels.
What else are you going to use money for instead of buying influence.
