Actually the largest island in South China Sea is Hainan island, and there are other larger islands like Natuna island of Indonesia and Tionman of Malaysia etc.

This false info made me doubt the competency of CSIS.

This pace is absolutely crazy.

Much faster than in 2014 in Spratley. Wondering what the reef will look like in June 2026 and in end of Dec 2026

I think the red circle will be fully reclamated. The yellow on the right I think will be the main opening ~350m wide, I think there will be secondary opening to allow the tide to "flush" the lagoon also for tactical redundancy for coast guard vessel or militia (yellow lines on the left).

I think the lagoon will be dredged to ~12m to 15M to allow Type 052D/055 and Type 075 and tankers and supply ship.
Wondering whether there will be fish farms in the lagoon and how likely China would put SMR there like Linglong One or floating nuclear ACPR50S
