China’s investment in its ambitious economic corridor project in Pakistan has reached $62 billion, jumping more than 34% from its initial investment of $46 billion, a top Pakistani.
“New investment has been approved for projects in various sectors including (establishment of) industrial zones,”
It is also in talks with China to place the Circular Railway project under the CPEC.

91 Km Lahore Sialkot Motorway (M-11) Under is Construction.
FWO Engineers have started clearing the ground. The motorway will be four laned, having seven interchanges, eight flyovers, 40 bridges and 70 underpasses.
Three industrial zones and two universities would also be established along the project. It will be linked with M2 and N5 through Lahore link road near Kala Shah Kaku.

Electric cars icing on the cake.
The scepticism about likely market share of electric-hybrid or electric-electric hybrid cars is set to take a hit, as a top Chinese brand mulls over launching its dealership in Pakistan next year if not by the year-end.
The car costs around $9,000, exclusive of taxes, with a range of 120 kilometres and maximum speed of 60 km an hour. Unlike the existing 800cc to 1,000cc, it comes with all modern features ranging from power windows to rear camera display to internet connectivity.
