Pakistan has warmly welcomed Britain’s desire to become a key partner in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) after the United Kingdom (UK) expressed its willingness to join the multi-billion dollar project, Radio Pakistan.
UK's inclination towards the project proves that CPEC was not restricted only to Pakistan and China, but has a greater regional impact that will promote connectivity in the region and beyond.
This country’s eyeing to become key partner of CPEC
UK’s Minister of State for International Trade Greg Hands, on Wednesday, had expressed Britain’s readiness for CPEC during a business round-table in Islamabad.
“Britain is a country of global influence and can be an important partner for China and Pakistan in the delivery of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which has the potential to build closer links between our countries,”
Other participants in the round-table included experts from City UK, RUSI and the China Britain Business Council. HSBC, Deloitte and Standard Chartered also discussed how they and other British firms could support the delivery of CPEC.

Kulbhushan Jadhav Sentenced to Death.
Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav is a serving officer of India's Research & Analysis Wing (). He was tasked with a deep cover assignment to carry out espionage, sabotage Project and acts of terrorism against the state of Pakistan from his base in disguised as a maritime business. His cover identity was Hussain Mubarak Patel. Kulbhushan Jadhav was captured by Pakistan's Intelligence services in . He has been sentenced to death by a Field General Court Marshal under the Pakistan Army Act 1952 and and section 3 of the official secrets act. He was provided with legal defense as per the law and he confessed all charges of planning and carrying out acts of espionage and sabotage on the behalf of the Indian Govt's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in order to destabilize Balochistan and Karachi.

: China plans to finance $ 8 billion for Pakistan Railways’ Peshawar Karachi Railway Line (ML-1)
China has shown its interest to fully finance over $8 billion for upgrading Pakistan Railways’ Mainline (ML-1) by enhancing amount of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) up to $54 billion from earlier committed amount of $51.5 billion.
“Chinese banks are interested to fully finance upgrading rail network in Pakistan and its financing arrangement will be finalised during the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to China on the eve of international conference on initiative of One Belt One Road (OBOR) in coming May this year,”

- Chinese company have started the construction of hydro power project in Suki Kinari - Kaghan, . The cost of the project is $1.96 billion & will online in 2023.
The dam will be constructed as a 54.5 meter high and 336 meter wide concrete gravity dam with 2 gated spillways. Four 218 MW turbines are to be installed as part of the project, and will generate approximately 870 MW of electricity in total.
Construction of the dam will result in the formation of a 3.1 kilometer long reservoir with a capacity of 9 million cubic meters of water. It will not cause large scale displacement of populations as no villages or towns will be inundated by the resulting dam's reservoir,[10] although a four kilometer section of the Kaghan-Naran highway will have to be diverted as a result of construction works and the resulting reservoir.
Accompanying transmission lines will be constructed by Pakistan's National Transmission and Dispatch Company, and is not considered complementary to the project, but is to be constructed separately from the dam itself.
Expected completion date for the dam is 2023.
