Top 4 deals so far in 2026 are all huge with huge Western drug companies.
That’s a lot. How come these western pharma companies/giants have so much money/deep pockets? This amount are huge and it’s just for China, I imagine they also have billions more they invest globally
With the kind of chatter going on social media, chinese companies must be prepared to see these funds disappear soon with US banning investment in Chinese biotech.
The government must step in and come up with a viable commercialization model that keeps the industry going at same speed.
So what?
The way it works, is these Chinese bio-tech companies do the work then they are licensing IP out to the Americans.
If the Americans leave, the Europeans are still coming to buy this IP.
Then these European pharmaceutical companies, and Europe has few world leading pharmaceutical companies, then the Europeans will take those same Chinese produced drugs and sell them in the US market, those same Chinese produced drugs that the US government forbids US pharmaceutical companies from licensing, if some paranoid people have their way in the American government.
So please, we should all wish to see this happen. US to ban Chinese drugs, so that Europeans can sell these same Chinese drugs to Americans to save lives!
