The United States of America had considerable influence over Pakistan in the past, both strategically and economically. However now, with the advent of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan's focus has shifted towards China, causing Washington's influence to diminish.
The US has already threatened Pakistan on an IMF bailout, however, considering the IMF package already coincides with the repayment of CPEC projects next year, it doesn't make sense for the US to pile on the pressure on Pakistan, whose entire focus is on making CPEC a success.
