China obtain liscense to produce backfire bomber

China been attempting to obtain backfire,but were turn off by the cost,last year, HK newspaper claim that russia agree to sold early variant ,TU-22m produce in the early 70's to China,but China soon realized spare part for the aircraft no longer in production.other was the cost of maintaining the aircraft.

Since when did random dudes on DingSheng became a reliable source?

Plus, isn't Xian already working on a semi-stealth successor for JH-7? Why would they be working on Tu-22M?

Well the JH-7B isn't exactly to be confirmed to exist yet I think.

And even if it does exist, a stealthy strike fighter still wouldn't be the same as a long range supersonic bomber. (But that does not give a means to say that China will be getting backfires... the article's reliability has already been killed.)

China do not possess technology to built stealth aircraft,pershap,low observation aircraft (LOV) or semi stealth,but B-2 stealth bomber,no way,even the european and russian do not possess the technology.despite with much higher technological industrial base.
one simple has to observe military parade,nealry 90% of the weapon system were russian origin.

Well if the JH-7B exists, I don't think it would be a true stealth aircraft, but rather a LO strike fighter..
I'm not too sure about whether China's able to build stealth aircraft or not, never mind Russia.

Perhaps having had previous designs based on Russian ones, but then nearly 100% made with Chinese components (save the engines for various planes of course) and modified and upgraded to their various needs... (Type 99 tank, HQ-16)
At least this is what I got from the parade commentary and knowledge.

I think that statement would bring quite a bit of flak personally.

Based on russian technology perhabs but not made in Russia. Chinas equipment are also based on european and even some american technology. What you say is not true.

we are dsicussing the the possibility of China obtain right to produce TU-22M.we hear so much talk about the so called China's stealth bomber,it turn out to be hoax.according to US,80% of the high tech equipment has to be imported.same could be said of military technology.
according to report from DIIC,China has large investment on former soviet military R & D firm as many 4000 (?).most russian,not to mention belarus,ukraine imilitary industrial R & D are starve of cash. China has the money,while ex soviet state got the technology.and both willing to trade.

Until we actually see a T-22M? roll off the assembly line, I'd take the "article" for grain of salt.

Heck, I could log on to any bbs and post that China is building a fleet of space warships to conquer Mars.
