According to this clip, it isn't even a J-15, its an old and obsolete Su-27SK/J-11A which defeated F-35C in mock dogfights and caused its crash in the SCS during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. And the same pilot of the old flanker make it twice in a week. I understand that F-35 is not a good dogfighter, but being defeated by such an old fighter is absolutely a shame to the pilots of F-35s.
But we're off topic so mods can feel free to move this post to another thread.
I'll have to examin this evidence and maybe people like @siegecrossbow @Blitzo to weigh in. Like I said, the circumstances of the meeting are most important, regarding whether the F-35 revealed itself voluntarily or was detected when trying to remain stealthy. I don't know what you mean by saying "the same pilot of the old flanker make it twice in a week" cus there's no possibility that he tricked 2 F-35 to crash into the ocean in one week without shooting either down which would be a massive incident. Old or not, Flanker was made to dogfight while the F-35 was made to hit-and-run so if the F-35 gave away its stealth, it is absolutely expected that an entire array of 4th gen fighters would beat it like a fat child in a knife fight.

Obviously it was carrying luneburg lens when it is flying so close to Chinese radars and other assets. Super hornets do the same sort of cat and mouse game all the time, but the pilot in the incident lost his cool, kinda like Cougar from opening scene of Top Gun. If you guys want to talk about it more you can move it the discussion to a different thread.

An F-35 literally splashed into the ocean maneuvering against a Flanker??

No. It was during the landing process on the carrier.
Oh I know about that. Even made a joke about it. They mean that the pilot was so shaken by the incident that he couldn't handle the landing properly? Were there 2 of such incidents? That's a significant amount of extrapolation to put cause and effect there.

They were communicating on open channel radio as per Yankee. Carrier with the pilot I meant.

from the POV of the landing signal officer/station (?).

According to USNI tracker, during the week of Jan 28th 2022 USS Carl Vinson was operating in the SCS near Phillipines, an area that was at best "contested" at the time from the Chinese POV. So the chance of PLAN recovering the wreckage is slim.

Following the incident, USS Carl Vinson directly sailed back to San Diego in week of Feb 14th 2022. And some time later, the USN did manage to recover the plane wreckage sitting 12000 feet below sea level, which was quite impressive.

Corroborating the incident against Yankee's

, the whole thing does get a full paint of black humour all over. According to deduction from the Bilibili comment section, the unit was the 4th Air Brigade at Foshan deployed with J11A/Su27SKs at the time. If anyone is interested I can do a high level summary of Yankee's story.

Please do. Am I hearing that there were 2 incidents?

What were they saying? What's the evidence that the Flanker spooked the F-35 into the crash?
