Has this picture been posted?. I wasnt aware Chinese misiles were integrated to the MK2 View attachment 121035

It's been known for a while that Su-30MK2s have been equipped with Chinese missiles. I think it was in 2015 when we first had picture evidence of them carrying PL-12s, and only a few years after that when we had picture evidence of them carrying PL-8s.

In fact I'm not even sure if this specific image is "new".

Is there any rough estimate on the J-16 annual production rate? Like how the J-20 estimate is maybe above 100 now.

Ah, thanks.

I was under the impression that Chinese missiles had not been integrated with Russian-built Flankers yet.

Ah ok, visor has no display then?

No, the only - at least by my understanding - HMD-capable helmet used by PLAAF Flanker pilots is this helmet used by J-16 pilots.

Just to make it clear.

The J-16 does have a HMD (helmet mounted display) which is the picture that Deino posted in reply 889. That design is a monocular HMD where the image is projected onto the visor over the right eye.

The helmet in reply 880 is NOT a HMD.

Most importantly -- for all PLA fighters where pilots have HMDs (including J-20, J-16 and J-10C), they do not fly every single sortie with a HMD, and for missions or sorties where a HMD may not be required, they fly with regular flight helmets instead.
(This is ignoring older and more primitive helmet mounted sights on imported Russian Flankers)

Being able to recognize on sight the HMDs that J-20, J-16 and J-10C use is probably something helpful to learn for everyone.
