Deino now you have absolutely no excuse not to do a sequel to include all the interesting pictures that appeared recently! (just joking xd)

I slowly get the feeling each time I write a book, I prepare the Orbat tables and structure the serial numbers, prepare the profiles for the aircraft and maps with the bases, the PLA initiates a reform that includes a new structure, new serial numbers, new colour schemes and markings and new bases (just joking too) o_O:p

Regarding this one. I remember we were at batch 8 last year and now we are already at batch 11. It seems like we are getting at least 2 batch a year unless I am seriously off the mark here. What do you think @Deino ? Are we at 2 batches or even 3 this year? That's like 60 j16s at least.

yes, i think so. Combined with the new j20 production number, seems plaaf is getting some 120 heavy fighters a year (50 j16+70 j20).
if we consider j15, j10, the total number mounts to 150.

Intensity of the buildup is breath taking. The question is, what is US doing about this.

Fighter-wise, it is said that the US has reduced the acquisition of F-35s for this year and the next couple of years in order to divert more funding towards research and development works on the 6th-generation fighters, i.e. NGAD and F/A-XX. In fact, the US has already built at least one 6th-gen fighter prototypes back in 2020.

Bomber-wise, I suppose we already know about the B-21. To be revealed 26 days from now, and first flight scheduled for early 2023.

I believe China is also marching largely close behind the United States for her 6th-generation fighter programs. Same goes for her H-20, but could be considerably slower than the US. Reasons being unlike the US, China doesn't have prior experiences on designing and building VLO bombers.

US is also under estimating the J20’s capabilities, and also not building new F15EX’s which at least should be matching J16 production.
