Continuing the translation after I realized I missed material info on the last 3 sentences:

What this "certain type aircraft" is would be up to imagination:)
A type of 35 that’s not Su-35, Draken, MiG-35, or Mi-35.
Are you suggesting F-35?

Considering the drill took place in 2019 in western China, the first "certain type of aircraft" must be one of the aircraft types participating the same drill, likely J-20 to be worth mentioning, with which the J-16 flew "in composition formation to practice basic tactics" (与某型飞机混编基本战术). Does this make it the first revelation (or hint) that J-20 has taken part in a Shaheen drill?

The second "certain type" should be a "certain type of formation" (某种类型编队) but not a specific type of aircrafts.

At first I thought it must have been J20. Then I realized J20 did not (publicly) attend Shaheen VIII.
Then @siegecrossbow suggested X-35. It could not possibly be F35 because Shaheen VIII happened in Dingxin China.
And I thought how about J-35. But that seemed too early (2019) for J-35 to participate in an exercise.
@sequ suggested F16. But again no way Americans let Pakistanis fly that into China in an exercise.

All things considered J20 seems the most probable. There's also good reasons why they did not make J20 participation public in 2019.
@SanWenYu Thanks for the translation correction!
