No, this is a foreign object separator, a grid or mesh Thant can be found on all Flnkers.

I am still not sure. This is how SU-57 do it.

As far as I know, the lower image is a photoshop fake, the Su-57‘s blocker is vastly different.

there's only 4 commissioned fighter jet with DSI intake in this world...3 of them belongs to China, 1 USA.

It is but a matter of choice -conveniently placed in-between adjustable and fixed ones.

You forgot the FTC-2000G, so it's 5 fighters and 4 belongs to China... would be nice to the eye to see a flanker with that kind of intake but no way they will spend a dime doing so.

there's all indications showing it's not easy for any nation to just induct DSI. Russia for one hasnt been able to given its great prowess in fighter jets.

The Flanker fuselage was designed by Russians. Sure the Chinese did copy the fuselage, but maybe they don't have a full grasp of it so they left the intakes alone rather than turning them into DSI.

j10c proved that it's possible to induct dsi for the flankers.......maybe SAC should contact CAC more often to get the know how
