(Defensa.com) The closing ceremony of the first edition of the Aerospace Mexico Fair 2015, held Sunday, was marred by an accident involving training aircraft T-6C Texan II + Mexican Air Force tuition 6602. While performing a maneuver called "double mirror" one of the aircraft lost control after which the pilot and co-pilot were aboard ejected before the plane crashed on the outside of the Air Base Military St. Lucia, in the state of New Mexico. Fortunately no casualties were not among the more than 200,000 attendees watched the air show in participating aircraft of the Mexican Air Force.
The two crew of the plane were taken to medical facilities, where they underwent a medical examination to rule out any injury, as reported by the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) Mexican. The fact that the rest of the air show was not suspended and the accident happened at first unnoticed time, to the point that the audience believed that the deployment of emergency means part of the event occurs.
The Beechcraft T-6C + Texan II aircraft tactical training in Mexico is used by the Military School of Application Aerotáctica Air Force (EMAATFA) which is based at the Military Air Base 11 (BAM-11) Santa Gertrudis in Chihuahua. Mexican Air Force received in 2012 six of these training devices early last year and six more
