The first test flight of the IA 100 aircraft, designed and manufactured in FAdeA, was successfully completed
The Ministry of Defense, led by Julio Martínez, reports that the first test flight of the IA 100 aircraft, designed and manufactured at the Argentine Aircraft Factory (FAdeA), was successfully completed.
The plane, flown by civilian pilot Pablo Reynoso, took off from the FAdeA runway and made a 58-minute flight over the factory, to a maximum height of 5,000 feet.
During the tests the avionics systems of the last generation were tested with which this technological demonstrator is equipped, which was elaborated entirely in FAdeA and that has as purpose to demonstrate the capacities of the factory.
The manufacturing objectives of this aircraft are to acquire experience realizing for the first time in our history one hundred percent of aircraft in composite material; Integrate different Argentine suppliers in the project, which favors the national aeronautical industry, and develop and manage it in a limited period of time.
The test flight performed is part of a series of steps contemplated in the protocols to get to discharge the aircraft.
The development of this technological demonstrator is a project that began 18 months ago and serves as the basis for the design of a modern aircraft that allows covering the basic training needs of both the Armed Forces and civil aviation, as well as to produce an aircraft suitable for export.
