Can Mobile SAMs Counter Air Superiority/Supremacy?

SAMs have limited range. Effective SAM deployments depend on terrain and maintaining the element of surprise. A convoy operating under enemy air superiority needs to travel light and move fast to survive.

If you have the right SAM this task can be accomplished, the Tor is designed to accompany armored units with the ability to shoot on the move, don´t have Western equivalents today so most people say it can´t be done.

I think your over estimating the capabilities of a SAM system, And Particularly the TOR system Which as yet to make a actual kill.

But I am not 100% sure whether China would want it in 2016 as China (may) would have developed a better SAM by then. And in 2016 J-20 may have entered serviced in low number

You can think of multi-static radar. Have plenty of transmitters using many wave lengths and tactical receivers near the SAM batteries. Operational receivers all around your country, connected by multiple glass fiber routes to multiple computer centers to interpret the data. Use a network of microphones to see the very low flying aircraft that try not to be seen by radar. This strengthens the defense against the offense and makes the World safer.
