I agree, but at least in this case, the tech matters in winning the standards game. Obviously not with Betamax and VHS, or many other battles.

That just looks like a more Latin American style of saying (to pla101prc): "the guy already answered your question, so why are you asking?". But I suppose you already figured out that he agrees with your view as well.

LTE is a 4G cellphone standard. TD-LTE is the Chinese version just like WCDMA for 3G and TD-CDMA. Though there are small difference, but if I remember correctly, it would be just Frequency difference.

I don't know if TD-LTE will be the only standard China is using, since China Unicom did not use TD-CDMA for 3G in China, instead they are using what HK is using.
