NEW YORK -- The U.S. is not interested in decoupling its economy from China's but only in ensuring fair competition between the countries' businesses, Jose Fernandez, a senior state department official, told Nikkei.

"We would welcome competition that's on a level playing field, where you don't have unfair subsidies, where you have no violations of human rights, where you have full respect for intellectual property rights," said Fernandez, who serves as the undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy, and the environment. He is deeply involved in U.S. President Joe Biden's economic security policies.

"We just want [U.S. companies] to have a fair shot," Fernandez said. "We are sure that if our companies play on a level playing field, we will get our share of projects and wins."

Again that argument about fair trade and unfair subsidies. What they want is everyone to bow for Pax Americana which includes implementing free market orthodoxy/Washington
consensus/neoliberalism.

A country deciding its own economic destiny by not having the economic model we deem fair and universal is playing unfair.

A continuation of the Abrahamic unipolarity, white mans burden and civilizing mission. There is only one economic and political (democracy and neoliberalism) way and that is my way. Do not dare to decide your own economic, technological and political destiny.

Moral arguments are very boring. We already know their morality level. What are you gonna do about it?

Claimed, anyhow. The probability that a bunch of armed white guys being able to infiltrate 2010s China and leave free and alive is approximately 0.

South Koreans were able to detect North Korean infiltrators in the 1960s within hours. Speaking same language and everything.

Probably smuggling operations anyway. America's use of special forces operators for intelligence missions is widely known. The CIA itself notoriously has special forces independent from the US military.

A very clear-eyed view from David P. Goldman. Read it first, then the article about education at Foreign Affairs.
Five Myths About China

And why they will get us killed.

Demography is not destiny. Education is even more important. From Foreign Affairs:

From the article above and figure 1 below, it's projected that by 2040, 90-120 million Chinese will have tertiary education among those 25-64 years old (the main age group of the labor force), while the U.S. will have 60 million. Figure 2 shows that by 2040, 15-20% of those received tertiary education in the world will be in China, while 10% will be in the U.S. These numbers indicate that China has tremendous potential for productivity increase and GDP growth in the near future at least.

Furthermore, most who studied overseas now return to China

Was this fairy tale just invented or it has been there for a few years?

Quickie

Colonel
Who was here during the pandemic? China and India
Who offers financing to help the climate transition? China is already building them green infra all over ME, Latam and Africa.
"Not those who are coming to you today with the idea of a new world order." The Global South is all for a multi polar world order.
Not those who didn't a have a vaccine that worked and offer nothing in the face of climate change," he said. Yeap, western powers precisely.

" Not those who didn't a have a vaccine that worked "

I suppose the above statement refers to China?

Looks like the French President still buys into the shit that Chinese vaccines don't work?

A hillarious video from one of the propagandists on YouTube, Task and Purpose trying to explain how woefully understaffed (manpower) most western militaries are including the U.S. The recruitment target has been way off for almost all the services.

This reality then begs to question how exactly is the U.S. and her vassals going to fight a two front war against Russia and China if their own people don't even want to sign up to defend or fight to achieve that strategic objectives?
That's despite constant demonization of Russia and China, along with the usual candidates of western designated baddies like Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and North Korea. Terrorism has lost it's appeal.

The mere mention of "conscription" is apparently too much of a repellent for the vast swathe of keyboard commandos populating on many leading social media sites like Reddit, YouTube, Facebook to even bother placing their actual bravery in action. Showing that all these blowhards have replaced actual fighting on the battlefield with twitter trolling and Reddit up votes.

One of the reasons the potential recruits decline enlisting in the Army for example is the fear of getting PTSD which is highly understandable, but where is the need to sacrifice for one's own country go? And where's all that American bravery and Rambo s..t they love to dispense against poorer and ill equipped opponents?

God bless America.

Here is Jamison's reaction to that video.

I don’t think Goldman Sachs is the bank in the sense of a retail/consumer type compared to the other 3 big banks.
JPM, BOA and Citi aren't in the commercial bank business in China. They want to make money off the sweet investment bank business, which GS is in. Anyways GS calls the shots in the US, that's why it's known as Government Sachs.
