Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan - Marines with the landing support platoon, Combat Logistics Battalion-31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire an M-240B machine gun during a crew-served weapon shoot here, May 20. The unit is currently conducting CLB Exercise, the 31st MEU’s logistics combat element pre-deployment training, designed to refresh skills and tactics prior to operating outside of garrison. The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps’ force in readiness in the Asia-Pacific region.

Raiche leads her team during a 7-ton truck-pull event at Roberts Field on Camp Kinser on May 14 as part of the 3rd Maintenance Battalion "wrench-off." The event was designed so the battalion's five companies could compete against each other in various challenges such as: a Humvee pit crew relay, weapons systems disassembly and reassembly relay, log toss relay and the truck-pull. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Western Division Matches began today at Wilcox Range near Camp Margarita and will run until March 7. Marines will learn how to enhance their marksmanship proficiency within the Marine Corps by refining precision marksmanship skills through advanced marksmanship training and competition. Marines that are selected from the matches will earn the opportunity to shoot at the Marine Corps Matches in Camp Lejeune in April. Cpl. Raquel Martinez, a range coach on Edson Range with Marine Corps Recruit Depot, fires an M16A4 during the 2013 Western Division Matches at Wilcox Range in the 33-area of Camp Pendleton. Martinez went on to win first in the individual rifle category.
