.............An AK-74 is not quite up to M-16a2 standards. I've fired both and I like the M-16 sight better overall, but the AK-74 (or AKM) sights under 150 meters are pretty good. I'm not a big G-3 fan. I've got a CETME, and have fired many G-3's including alot of derivatives like the PTR's and they are not the fastest handling rifles around. I got to handle an XM-29 at Fort Stewart a few weeks ago, what a lead chunk that thing is. They said 18lbs weight, but it felt more like 25lbs. I wasn't to sold on the what appeared to be a G-36 lower either. Pity they would not let me crack off a few 20mm grenades. Maybe next time.........

I apologize. It has not entered service yet, but the Kheibar will probably replace the AK-47 wihin the next two years, first with the SF, gradually trickling down into our regular forces. Here is a video:

Is Kheibar a Russian made weapon? If not, then Kheibar will NEVER replace Ak-47.

i would take the M 16 but only if it had the barrel switched for either 6.8 mm or 6.5mm ammo the 5.56 dosent have enough range or stoping power
what caliber is the kheibar?

.............I guess an Alexander Arms in .50 Beowulf would be bone crunching enough for hitting power. I'd probably opt for the 16" .50 and grab a 6.5 Grendel 24" upper for the long range chores.......

Well, back in the old forum we were one big happy family, and Gollaveinen was the father who kept the rest of us in line. I was the mature oldest sibling, while Sumdud and SwimmerXC (then OneDream88) were the two little tots in diapers.

He means in the Iranian army not the Russia/Chinese/Othe army. It will replace all the AKs used in Iran.
