The demographic of who watches TV news is pretty well known and has been shown in studies from Pew, Knight Foundation and others.

Me, personally, I disdain TV news as I find it takes too long and doesn't contain enough information and is too easy to manipulate. I try to stick to multiple non-Video sources in the top center of this chart:

Not impressed with my brief experience of using we chat. It does not strike me as being very user friendly.


A few days ago I installed We Chat on my and my brother's phone. We just sent each other a simple text message "hello how are you" and a reply. The next day we were blocked from accessing We Chat........because of security issues bla blah.
To get unblocked I applied for a code which I must then refer to somebody who has been a We Chat subscriber of 6months standing which Im unable to do.

Experience wise, I have not found that to be true. There are actually a lot of features no other "chat" system has. But if you really want to see WeChat and everything it can do, you need to use it in China, where its practically a necessity. You can order food at a restaurant, contact local and commercial services, send money and red envelopes and a lot more...

I realise that We Chat, despite being able to converse in English would essentially be an Asian centric App. I still can't figure out why I have been locked out though.

I was thinking of purchasing a P20 pro for its camera functions mainly and was wondering whether the current Android OS could be swapped out for 'Hong Meng 'when it's released, or simply wait for the P30 series running Hong Meng.

I use Google Maps a lot when traveling and was wondering whether there is a Chinese version of maps which could also be used in China?
