It' not really racing it's a Triathlon Where the Tank Crews and Vehicles are put through a course of Maneuver, Marksmanship and other tasks. The Russians basically gave everyone a handy cap though by giving the nations the option of Using T72B models or bringing there own tank.I remember we have a thread about "tank racing" in Russia; however, I can't find it anymore. There seems to a new round of "armor racing" and it might worth discussing.

If it was Racing a Tank or rather a tracked vehicle it would be a very different game. I mean Rather then Main Battle Tanks Teams would be Bringing Howe and Howe Tech Ripsaw Tracked vehicles.

as you can see it's all roll cage, Track, engine compartment with a small cockpit. If there was a Tracked vehicle racing circuit this would be what they would race.
With the gun sight, the artillery gun can be used in the same way as a tank gun just in case the situation demands it.I always wonder what one will see looking through artillery gun sight, obviously you can't see a target some 16km away. Does it show range, compass bearing, elevation, wind speed etc. etc. ?
