No because PLAAF don't have a suitable carrier aircraft until H-20 enters service.

lol dont take this the wrong way but you're like that guy in the friends group who comes in the night before final exams to ask the rest for all the summaries and shortcuts.
If it is a fighter bomber then they don’t need to deal with the hassle of three engines.
It's a fighter per Chinese sources and even US sources themselves, along with many other things noted that point to this not being a fighter-bomber/bomber.
I remember a story here I think about a J-20 pilot seeing Taiwan from his jet, does anyone have a link to that story?

Officially there is no technical bottlenecks and we should be seeing it pretty soon. Once we see it revealed, it'll be put into service very fast.
According to Orca the key technical challenge is getting enough range to strike CONUS.
What are your thoughts on why China decided to reveal its 6th gens? Showing the world their design choices could be bad isn't it? Gives the world more of a reason to justify increased defence spending and shows them our design choices (gives other countries a base design they know that works and can copy?). Why not keep it top secret until you have it in service?
