While the concept of AI phones is remarkably forward-thinking with vast development potential, it still faces numerous security challenges, legal disputes, and isolation from competitors. I have a feeling the bans are temporary until all the big players can come up with an agreement as to routing/usage for different services, and also to give themselves the time to do internal testing to see how these kind of tools will impact their bottom lines.

That's the thing with benchmarks, you start creating models for initial benchmark scores and impressions because that generates interests and prestige. Before you know it you have excellent benchmarking models but sub par real world tasks models.
