this is kind of things that makes me think this focus on GPT and OpenAI is overrated. Everyone is going full throttle forward. OpenAI doesn't appear to me to have that much additional private data, whereas Alphabet and Meta do. Same thing with Chinese market, where all the data exists within various major apps and they certainly won't share that info. So, it's not clear to me why other hyperscalers can't catch up to GPT in stuff that they do well, but can actually do things that OpenAI can't do right now

Curious, bcoz i keep reading this on some media too, "China lagging in innovation but excel in application", is it bcoz China is just starting to focus in building scientific facilities/labs that were already available in other places in the world that they maybe dont hav access before?
