How more powerful are Nvidia GPU compared to AMD? I thought they were always comparable in performance and the only advantage Nvidia has over AMD is CUDA. Is this true?

the big issue is that Chinese AI talents in the past have went to America for the higher paid position. Thankfully, the current tech war and scrutiny on Chinese Americans have slowed that down.

this is recently posted at Nvidia GTC. See the huge growth there by MindSpore. I'm actually not sure if they have the entire Ascend/Mindspore market share really captured. But it is already 2nd largest after PyTorch and crushed paddlePaddle
