Speaking of Google's recently announced and released A.I. LLM called "Gemini" there's already an allegation out there that what Googled previewed was not real but fake. Here's a take from someone who's in the know or at least, knowledgeable about this stuff. What he wrote was a fascinating read. Google's mantra of don't do evil just got more evil.

It won't help them get the advanced chips they desire.

UAE has just gave a grand welcome to Russian President Putin, it also has very good ties with China. That's a big NO for the west.

No way, UAE companies are getting any advanced chips.

In the long run if China offers to build a 28nm fab in the UAE, I think they will switchover completely.
They have wanted that for almost two decades already. It's why they originally invested into GlobalFoundries.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia want to create industries so that they will have some sort of income when the oil dries up. Russia has set up weapons factories in Saudi Arabia, and an Aurus car factory in the UAE for example.

Seeing the pro-israel western response in the Gaza war, it is inevitable that the gulf states will look east, principally to China. This is not the 1970’s, the Muslim countries have choices and they don‘t like the way the west had acted.

Besides, they West is much weaker now. The GDP of Japan is lower today than 1995. The GDP of EU is lower now than 2008. Only the US is still doing well.

The gulf countries have plenty of funds, they want to invest in high tech. China can get this money.

Why offer strategic chip industry? Whatever happens, UAE isn't going to get access to advanced Western chips. So they have only one option, China. That's it

They either buy Chinese chips or they are going to be left behind. China holds all the cards of being the supplier of last resort as long as West denies chips to all the non-Western and non-Western-puppet countries

China first has to fullfil its gigantic domestic chip demand
