it's basically a description of what JY-27A is. I don't think it mentioned AESA in there anywhere. Just VHF phased array radar.

This must have been one of your 'snap' replies, seeing that you obviously hadn't bothered to read my post.
Since you are in such a hurry, let me save you some time by pointing out the relevant portions from my original post:
"该雷达采用固态有源T/R组件和两维DBF技术,大大提高了系统任务可靠性和时间资源调度的灵活性。", which translates as "the radar uses solid-state active T/R module and two-dimensional DBF technology, greatly improving the reliability and flexibility of the system task time resource scheduling."
Solid state active (有源) T/R modules, check; DBF (i.e. digital beam forming), check; VHF, check.
So AESA VHF radar this is, isn't it?
Now may I suggest that you read my post first before replying. Otherwise, you are simply wasting my time and yours.
