Simple answer,, stop making it for them, they certainly can't claim the WEst is holding a gun to their head to make them do it. China was the one that went out of their way to attract foreign investment.
Shipping componentry halfway around the world and back again to save a few dollars , creates a carbon footprint of its own.To whom do they allocate that portion too?

It was just a response to what I considered was a "dig " at rich people.(thats why I quoted the relevant section of your post) I never expected you to factor in China.

Oh Come on, despite warnings by all the enviromentalists and what not, China decided upon a "Slash and burn" type of approach as the easiest and fastest /cheapest way to catch up and worry about the environment later.

Anyway I have to agree with Blitzo, in that our comments made to date appear to have little relevance to the Darwin awards which appear to have an element of morbid humour arising from someone's stupidity.
