Why should a nation that is capable of annihilating the world with it's nuclear arsenal be afraid of China? Why should it be afraid? Why should it fear for being put in the position it was 100 years ago? Remember that the US was not always a superpower. I don't think they'd make that much of a fuss about it when/if they lose that status. As long as the people over there stay happy. Sure the neocons will whine but they will adapt (or hopefully be gone). After all, the US nation is build up from humans, and humans adapt. They change and adapt. Just like Chinese, just like the rest of humanity.

He is an idiot who manages to slander both China and the US in the same sentence. The US sees China today the same why it saw Japan in the 80’s I remember all the crazies were saying that in a few years we would all be speaking Japanese, get over it.

Hey, the best way to fight a idiot is with your own idiot. We can use henry jones to counter vince (battlecruiser and cruiser, not to be confused with the user named vincelee).

Isn't this a nice set of mathups developing. We have HenryJones vs Vince and Migleader vs BrotherofSnake.

no it's not, we dont need anymore of these childish clashes...remember this is a militaryforum and should be proffesional one...so stay in the topic!

Um... actually, you may have the power to kill everybody on the planet with your powerful nuclear weapons... and then what would you have?

A perfect utopia filled with corpses.

Seriously, let's be realistic guys. There's no point in being the richest and most powerful country in the world if everyone's dead. Killing everybody else to get on top if going to help nobody in the long run. The US Government doesn't understand that yet. (Note, I said the US Government. The government and the people simply cannot be defined as one.) The Chinese government doesn't understand that.

Does it take a bloody and tearful war, with the bodies of your friends and family lying around to happen for everyone to understand that aggression simply isn't the way to go?

I have no problems with getting a strong military for defense. After all, you don't know who might attack you for reasons unknown. But getting a VERY strong military to go and meddle with the affairs of other countries like the US has been doing for quite some time isn't the way to go other. It's too extreme, but China is following quite closely in the US's footsteps. If things keep going on like this, there are a few possible outcomes. China becomes the next US, hated all over the world for being the bully. The US and China face off.

Nothing looks that positive... I'm just trying to say that killing everybody else who doesn't agree with you is one way to do something but is that the way you want to do it? Living in a world filled with dead bodies?

(When I say "you" I'm not meaning anyone personally.)

well, I 1000% agree with the nice speech given by 'the Zergling'. In the name of christ what would the US or China gain by waging a destructive war upon each other? I really don't understand some of you guys (both those nationalistic Americans and Chinese fellas) who thinks that one of the two nations would eventually come out on top in such a war! owkee....the US has much more ICBM that can target china than the chinese ones that can target the US (30-40 ICBM is a good estimate), but how much nukes equipt with MIRVs is China going to need to ruin the roaring lives of the American people, and vise versa?
Don't you guys remeber those old sayings: "there are no winners in a war, only losers" or "the war has been lost twice over by those who are left behind by the dead"??? well in a case of total war between china and america there ain't no even gonna be any losers to be left! So guys please thinks twise before making those delusional judgement about the war! let's just pray China an US would share a peaceful coexistence for a long long time.....Amen!

Good post. Like I mentioned in another post. Americans would be surprised to know that most ordinary Chinese have good will towards the US, as they see the relations not being burdened by history as with some other countries.
But I really cannot see the US just sit there & watch China overtakes it, as it most likely will barring a war.

Aye true, but you don't mess with somebody who can annihilate your country. I'm not saying that the US or China should be doing that. I'm not warlike.

I'm just saying that the US does not need to be afraid of China. And vice versa. Please don't mistake me for a neocon. Thanks.:)
