Whats happening is houses being sold now are purchased by investors that turn around and convert it into single room rentals.... so gradually home ownership is getting displaced, just like when they rebuild an old public road then turn it into privatized toll... another analogy is like when Adobe stopped selling Photoshop boxed copies and only monthly subscriptions now....Does this even take into account housing in violent neighbourhoods that no one will ever invest into?
