Yeah both countries lost the trade war. China has to give up its lower end manufacturing and advance on the value chain. Meanwhile, the US has to pay more for clothing, toys and bicycles.
It's a sellers' market by design. They maximize profits by selling less at higher prices. Powerful entrepreneurs collaborating with politicians by lobbying to maintain their positions. It's their underhand dealings , not the people's votes that eventually decide who became the government.
How many choices do Americans voters have in the elections? Just two multimillionaires not of their choice. Even if these business people can't influent the president, they are protected by their congressional representatives.
The USA as a whole has been dumb down so much it is mind boggling but still once the flood gates are open, it will be impossible to ever close them. I reckon once a civil war starts coming to the USA, expect it to be very similiar to the forever purge and as such we can see this being the black swan even that has the potential to shatter the nation for good. So really I don’t believe that the USA can continue to go along with its war mongering forever, especially when the ordinary people has no food, home or security and are expected to be happy about like a typical US elite wants them to be. These elite expect to continue with there world bullying tactics forever believing that an ocean of water blocks multiple nations from seeking retribution when it has been shown time and time again that there are forces that can do that and more to the USA but have a lot of moral restraint not to do so, but once these restraints are completely gone and the USA has their guard down long enough and that these nations are suitably prepared, the amount of enemies that the USA has right now could lead to a situation that is even worse then what China has in the 8 army alliance and the potential damage these enemies can cause the USA will eventually be far beyond bearable.
So really, if the USA fails to take care of its citizens and instead continues to cater to the elites, then a fall similar to that of the Qing dynasty is very likely. I know people may say that China are not every good at war based on its lack of invasion achievements but given that China has successfully drive off the USA twice with a vastly inferior weapons and that China loss against Japan (debatable in the long run) and the west in the early part of the 20th century is mostly due to the Qing dynasties corruption and lack of weapons and leadership required to fight evenly and due to the fact that China was fighting multiple countries at a time when China was at there weakest.
Now the USA is still seeking to bring multiple Allie’s because they know in a real man to man fight, they are scared of a repeat of the Vietnam and Korean War given how the leadership in the USA are now filled with woke idiots with two moms and with leaders like blinken that delivers speeches in a manner that suggest to me that he is either shell shocked or completely brain washed to think that China doesn’t have the courage to call out even the most blatant of bull shit when it is completely obvious to everyone in the room. Which is way Japan right now with there slave like following of the USA is almost a joke beyond stupidity, especially when China knows what Japan has done to its citizens in WW2 and are no matter the pretty worlds are more or less saying that if they had the strength, they would be happy to repeat their actions again which is why in the event of a collapse in the USA similar to the forever purge that China uses this Opportunity to deal with the Taiwan question and Japan aggression in a matter that any nation that tries to even dare to try to do another Nanjing or ever dare to think it will find that they will face a world where the collective Japanese spirit will be forever shattered and their leadership will end up exiled to Antarctica of all places to cool off permanently which China educates the entire nation on not being Complete dump for the USA and not a nation of he hentai fodder. I mean the idea that Japan can claim that they are more morally righteous then China after everything they did in ww2 and how they never apologised for what they did and them at the US media helps to protect them should be incentive for China in the long run to eventually bring those two nations to justice when the time eventually gives them an opening to do so, this fulfilling the primal fear and the prophecies from an innumerable number of dreamers world wide that see the collapse of the USA happening in our life time in a matter that will cement the rise of China and Russia and point in stone the fall of the west. I mean I do enjoy Japanese food and all but I find their lack or even outright denial of what Japan has done to China in WW2 due to western meddling and Japanese own weakness of character to be so intolerable that well, they do need a reality check, no matter how bloody or painful it must be, justice will eventually be done and considering how much they grovel to the USA, they may eventually have no choice but to do the same to China given how much of a backbone they have right now

Couldn't read beyond the headings due to paywall. It's a given that there are no winners in a trade war. This article should honestly admitted that trade war is not good nor easy to win. Did it mentioned which side suffered the most damage and the effects it is causing now?
To be honest, the fact that it is under a pay implies that they are under some serious financial trouble for peddle bullshit all the time. It’s the same sort of thing with nelfix to some extent with the content becoming more and more woke. I am not sure if people like more work like people liking more bullshit in the news
